Prop 28

Proposition 28 provides dedicated state funding to expand arts and music programs for California students. For the 2023–24 school year, Perris Union High School District used these funds to support arts education across multiple school sites, including the addition of certificated arts teachers and new opportunities for students in music, visual arts, and performing arts.

Through this investment, more than 1,900 students across PUHSD and California Military Institute benefited from enriched creative learning experiences that foster self-expression, collaboration, and academic engagement. The district remains committed to ensuring that all students have access to high-quality arts and music programs as an essential part of a well-rounded education.
