The 23-24 Open Enrollment Period is Closed

The open enrollment period is your opportunity to make changes to your medical, dental, or vision plans, as well as to enroll or change the available voluntary plans. Changes are effective July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024. *If you do not wish to make changes to your benefits, no actions are required.*

Virtual Health Fair:

  • Virtual Health Fair - We are bringing the fair to you! Airbo is an interactive platform that delivers information on your benefits.  We will be providing a link to this virtual fair where you can:
    • Visit the fair on your own schedule; No lines, no crowds, no time limits, no travel time

    • Visit “booths” and learn about the benefits available to you

    • Play games, watch videos, and earn points for raffle prizes

Plan updates and Resources:

  • Express Scripts (ESI) Prescription Drugs - IMPORTANT MESSAGE for Anthem Blue Cross Members - The prescription drugs for ALL Anthem Blue Cross members are provided through Express Scripts (ESI). When enrolled in Anthem Blue Cross, the member will receive an Anthem Blue Cross Identification Card (ID) and, in separate mail, will receive an ESI ID card. Anthem Blue Cross members must use their ESI ID card when purchasing prescriptions at the pharmacy. If a member tries to use their Anthem Blue Cross ID, the member will be advised they do not have prescription coverage.

  • It is beneficial to all Anthem Blue Cross members to purchase their maintenance prescriptions through the ESI mail order program. By purchasing your maintenance drugs through the ESI mail order program, you will receive a three-month supply for two copays.

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - This benefit is administered by Anthem Blue Cross for all employees of the district and immediate family members living in your household, even if you are a Kaiser member or not eligible for benefits. Anthem EAP provides the same benefits as MHN (5 in-person visits per incident per year and unlimited telephonic sessions).

  • Talkspace - Effective July 1, 2023, Talkspace will no longer be offered as a program through REEP. Therapy services are still covered directly through your Anthem Blue Cross or Kaiser Permanente health plans. Additionally, EAP benefits are provided through the Anthem EAP and through Kaiser’s new virtual EAP. 

  • myStrength - a free digital resource to support emotional health and wellness; accessible online or through the myStrength app available for both Android and Apple.

  • Omada Health - a new wellness platform that replaces both the Anthem HealthFitness and the Kaiser Wellness Rewards programs. Omada will be offered to PUHSD employees enrolled in Anthem Blue Cross or Kaiser Permanente who qualify to participate and will focus on diabetes/hypertension and weight management. 

Log in to BenefitBridge to:

  • Make changes to medical, dental, and vision plans

  • Make changes to MetLife Life insurance, MetLife AD&D insurance, MetLife Legal plan, Colonial Hospital Indemnity plan and, ID Theft Recovery Plan

  • Add/remove dependents

  • Make changes to beneficiaries

  • Deadline to complete enrollment is Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 5:00pm

Voluntary Plans not included in BenefitBridge:

  • American Fidelity (AFA) - Flex 125 Plan (must renew to continue), Disability, Life, Accident, Cancer or Critical Care Insurance

  • The Standard - Disability and Life (PSEA only)

  • Pacific Educators - Disability, Life and Cancer Insurance

Cash Option

  • The Duplicate Medical Coverage form must be submitted during each open enrollment and is emailed to employees currently enrolled
