I started my teaching career at Wells Middle School in the Alvord Unified School District as a Math teacher. I also taught Mathematics and AVID at Jurupa Valley High School. I have served as an Assistant Principal at Pinacate Middle School and Valley View High School, and Principal of Wells Middle School and Mission Middle School.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a Law degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Sinaloa. I also have a master’s in Education and a master’s in Educational Administration from Cal State University San Bernardino, and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from University of La Verne.

I am excited and proud to be the President of the Board of Trustees of Perris Union High School District. I’m proud of the dedication and commitment of all our teachers and our staff at PUHSD! I am very proud of my students and the parents of my students in our community. I’m excited about the 2016-2017 school year and I am confident the programs we have in our district combined with our Commitment to Excellence will continue to significantly improve our Priority #1: Student Achievement.

I am an educator! I am very proud of it!
