CTE
What is Career Technical Education?
Career Technical Education (CTE) provides students with hands-on, industry-focused courses that connect academic learning with real-world technical and occupational skills. Through CTE, students explore career interests, develop essential employability skills, and gain experiences that prepare them for success after high school. Our programs are aligned with current workforce needs and connect students directly with local business and industry partners.
What is a CTE Pathway?
A CTE pathway is a sequence of two or more career-focused courses that integrate academic knowledge with technical and occupational skills. Each pathway is designed to connect high school learning with college programs, industry certifications, and in-demand careers.
Benefits of CTE:
- Hands-on technical skills for high-wage, high-demand careers.
- College credit opportunities through dual enrollment and articulated courses.
- Work-based learning and internships that connect students directly with local industry partners.
- Industry-recognized certifications that validate career readiness.
- A pathway to postsecondary success, whether that means college, career training, or immediate employment.
