Our goal is to provide the safest possible learning environment. It is important that all staff and students follow established wellness protocols.
Wellness Screening at Home
Staff and students should self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms prior to arrival at school or any other school activity.

Signs and Symptoms of COVID-19
High Risk Symptoms:
- Fever of 100.4 or greater
- Shortness of breath
- Loss of taste or smell
- Cough
Low Risk Symptoms:
- Congestion or runny nose
- Diarrhea
- Sore throat
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
- Fatigue
- Nausea or vomiting
- Chills
- Red or itchy eyes
- Generally feeling of being unwell or other notable symptom
Quarantine or Isolation?
Isolation:
Is used to separate people with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 from those without COVID-19.
Includes:
- COVID-19 positive individual
- Symptomatic individual- No Known Exposure
Quarantine:
A strategy used to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 by keeping people who have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19 apart from others.
Includes:
- Exposure to a Confirmed COVID-19 Positive Individual
COVID-19 Testing
If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, it is recommended that you get tested. For additional information about testing locations, please visit:

If your student tests positive for COVID-19, please keep your student home from school and notify your school by emailing ctracing@puhsd.org or calling the school office.

Vaccine Information
The COVID-19 vaccine is not required for students to attend school in-person. Current regulations also do not require employees to be vaccinated. However, the district strongly encourages students who are age 5 and older as well as all employees to get vaccinated.
