Teleconferenced School Board Meetings

On March 12, 2020, Governor Gavin Newsom’s Order N-25-20 authorized state and local bodies to hold public meetings via virtual/teleconferencing and waived certain requirements for teleconferenced school board meetings under the Brown Act.

On March 17, 2020, California Governor Newsom’s Order N-29-20 waived additional requirements for virtual/teleconferenced school board meetings. This new order states that there is not a requirement to provide any physical location for the public to attend and participate in virtual/teleconferenced school board meetings.

On April 4, 2020, Riverside County Public Health Officer Dr. Cameron Kaiser “ordered that no gatherings of any number of people may take place outside of family members residing in the same home.”  

Therefore, until further notice, all PUHSD school board meetings will take place via virtual/teleconference. The intention in doing so is to follow the local and state orders and protect the public health. It is also our intention to follow the Executive Orders and provide the following for virtual/teleconferenced school board meetings:

  • Provide notice stating how the public can observe and/or give public comment
  • Provide a link for the public to observe the teleconference
  • Provide a method for the public to offer public comment
  • Provide a procedure for receiving and resolving requests for reasonable accommodation from individuals with disabilities.

Minutes & Agendas

The Perris Union High School District Board of Trustees meeting agendas can be viewed online via Electronic School Board. The meeting agendas are usually posted the Friday prior to the meeting date.

Meeting Information

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, if you need special assistance, disability-related modifications or accommodations, including auxiliary aids or services, in order to participate in the public meetings of the District’s governing board, please contact the office of the District superintendent at (951) 943-6369. Notification 72 hours prior to the meeting will enable the district to make reasonable arrangements to ensure accommodations and accessibility to each meeting. Upon request, the District shall also make available the agenda and all other records associated with each meeting in appropriate alternative formats for persons with a disability.
