My name is Shannon Romero. I have been an educator since 2006. I have taught preschool, middle school (6 years at Pinacate) and I have been at Perris High since 2014. Currently, I teach Reading Intervention (English Intensive-Read 180). I received my undergraduate degree in English from California Baptist University along with my Single Subject Teaching Credential for English in 2006. I have a Master of Education degree specializing in teaching strategies from Grand Canyon University, and I also have a Masters degree in Reading for Adolescents from Grand Canyon University. Moreover, I have taught a plethora of English classes such as: Academic English (levels II, III & IV) for EL students, Advanced English, Reading Intervention, Journalism, Yearbook and regular English of course. In addition, I am the Rotary (Interact) advisor on campus (Rotary is a community service club in which we volunteer our time helping the community of Perris. I absolutely love teaching students the skills they need to be successful in life and it is also my passion to encourage/inspire my students to never give up in life, no matter the circumstance. I wholeheartedly love my district, PHS and the community of Perris. It is my pleasure and honor to be apart of this community.
