I’m Judy Lane and I have been teaching English in the Perris Union High School District for 17 years. I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and a Teaching Credential from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. I also have a Master of Education in Reading Curriculum and Instruction. My passion is literacy, including digital literacy. I have taught various grade levels over the years, and this year I am excited to teach Reading, English 10 and ERWC 11.

I love incorporating technology and digital literacy into my lessons and am dedicated to helping students access 21st century skills using common sense. We are at an interesting and unprecedented time, and I am choosing to take the opportunity to grow from our immediate challenges. These include post-pandemic challenges in teaching and learning, as well as issues of environment and equity that need to be addressed. Join me as we go out of our comfort zones a bit and be the ones to make a difference in this world. 

I will be using Canvas and I encourage students to use their email and planners daily. I would like to invite students and parents to email me with any questions or concerns as soon as you have them and at any time.
