Student Behavioral Support

My name is James Gray and I am starting my 18th year at Paloma Valley (35th year overall) working in Student Behavioral Support. My past experience includes Math Intervention, Algebra, Consumer Math, World History, U.S History, and Athletic PE. I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Occidental College ('88) and Master's Degree from Stanford University ('89). I also was able to spend a year studying in Europe. Though I have retired from actively coaching on the field (after over 30 years in various sports) I remain very active in supporting our athletic programs, helping where I am able.

I live here in Menifee with my wife where we raised our three daughters, all Paloma grads. (2016, 2018 and 2021)

My goal in working with students in BSR is to help them understand how their behaviors and the subsequent consequences can be worked on to improve their high school experience. This will also involve discussion of short and long-term goals and what motivates students.

I am looking forward to this year and ask for everyones patience and commitment to getting the job done.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email me at james.gray@puhsd.org. Please allow 24 hours for a reply. I will do the best I can to address all concerns in a timely manner.

Thanks and GO WILDCATS!!!
