ABOUT ME:

My name is Catherine Shaner. I have spent 16 wonderful years working for the Perris Union High School District, first as a paraeducator, then as a substitute teacher, and finally as a special education teacher. I have taught functional academics and independent life skills at PVHS for the last 7 years. I have a BA in History from CSU San Bernardino and an M.A.ed in Educational Counseling from Azusa Pacific University. I absolutely love working with students who have unique needs. I share this passion with my husband who also works in special education.  I’m very excited about this school year and getting to know my students and their families.
