My name is Brent Gilson, and I'm teaching Systems Programming 1 at Liberty this year!

I attended Norco College 2014 - 2017 ending with an A.S. in Game Design & Computer Science, with Game Development in mind as my career focus. During my freshman year at Norco, I joined a startup company called Kids That Code as a content creator for roughly 4 years. My experience with Kids That Code, and getting a job as a tutor at my college are what exposed me to the educational side of game development. Wanting to see more education & preparation for today's youth in programming and game development, I decided to pursue teaching.

I began teaching Game & Computer Programming in 2017 at the high school level, and now I run with the HERD!
