Hello and welcome to Liberty!

My name is Ms. Vargas and I am super excited to teach history! I am teaching World History and US History for the 2023-2024 school year. I am also the history teacher for the Health Sciences and Medical Technology Pathway! All information, including my syllabus, is located in Canvas, please check your Canvas page.

I grew up in this area and have a deep love for this community. I am so happy to be back and serve you and your student! I have a Bachelor's of Arts in Latin American & Iberian Studies and History of Art & Architecture from UC Santa Barbara and a Master's of Arts in Education, Learning, and Teaching from the University of Redlands. Throughout my education career I have also studied abroad in 3 different countries in South America and Europe! 

I am also the ESports club advisor! I have played console games since I was a child and switched to PC gaming in 2010! I have plenty of experience in most game genres and have participated in various tournaments! More info will come soon for our meetings and upcoming competitive season. Please be on the look out for information!
