My name is Mr. Vik and I have been a special education teacher for the past 10 years. I currently have a self-contained Social-Emotional Academic Support (SEAS) classroom for math, English, science, social science, and study skills. For each of these classes students will be utilizing either canvas and/or Google classroom platforms. We will be utilizing social-emotional strategies in conjunction with our ERMHS therapists, in order to help students when becoming overwhelmed and/or withdrawn from the learning environment.

Prior to teaching I played professional basketball overseas for 13 years. I had the opportunity to play in over 20 different countries and in 2000 had an NBA tryout with the Dallas Mavericks. During the summer I run basketball camps with my partner. I enjoy working out, lifting weights and traveling. I received my Masters in Special Education from Azusa Pacific University and my bachelor's degree from Washington State University.
