Hello! 

My name is Jeremiah Perotti (pronounced "PUR-OH-TEE"), and I'm one of five agriculture teachers at Heritage High School.  I grew up about three hours north of here in Bakersfield,CA. I was raised in the inner city and no idea what agriculture was. I was introduced to agriculture by accident when I made it into high school. Over my four years at Foothill I fell in love with FFA and became an active member of Foothill FFA raising animals, going to conferences, and joined a CDE team competing across CA.  I graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with my Bachelor's Degree in 2008 in Agriculture Education and a minor in Ag Business. Then later down the road in  2018 I went back to school and got my master in Agriculture Education again from CAL Poly SLO.

This is my thirteenth year of teaching, all of which have been spent at Heritage High School.  During that time, I have had the pleasure of teaching and coaching students through a variety of agriculture classes and FFA public speaking and career development events.  This year, I am teaching Ag Earth and  Ag. Mech.  I primarily use Canvas to post all of my class assignments on a weekly basis and students complete their work in their ISN notebook. We will not be using online notebooks unless we are forced to go back to an online class platform.  
In FFA, I am the coach for the Veterinary Science team, BIG Team, and are in charge of all swine projects on the farm.  I also am the department chair for the Agriculture Department and work closely with the FFA officer team as an FFA Advisor. 

Outside of school I am a huge family man, a LA Dodgers fan, a San Fransisco 49ers Fan, and I have four Boston Terrier dogs!
