¡Bienvenidos! My name is Scott Boydston. I am 43 years old, married, have 3 children ages 15, 14 and 9. I have been teaching for 17 years. I have been teaching at Heritage High School since 2014. Prior to this I taught at Fontana High School since 20003. Over the years I have taught Spanish 1, 2, 3, 1 for native speaker, 2 for native speakers, History of Mexico and Intro to Psychology. I also have a History teaching credential and a School Counseling credential. My Bachelors of Arts degree is in Spanish and my Masters of Science degree is in Educational Counseling. I am a die hard Star Wars fan and a life long, avid, die hard, forever faithful Dodgers fan. I love reading fantasy and sci fi novels, hiking, watching my favorite tv shows, spending time with family and friends, going to church, reading history books, biographies, playing video games and listening to music. My favorite bands/artists are the Beatles, Maná, Selena, Garth Brooks and John Williams. I love playing and watching all sports, though I love baseball most of all. I love the Spanish language and all the cultures and countries where it is spoken. I am a big advocate of the need for people to learn to speak another language besides to the one they were taught as children. Learning about and studying other languages not only is beneficial in the job market, but it also expands your knowledge and respect for other people and cultures. As you study different languages and learn more about the countries and cultures that speak them, you gain a respect and appreciation for those places and peoples. I look forward to having a great year learning and studying the Spanish language and the cultures where it is spoken together.
