Hi Everyone!
This will be my 17th year teaching at Pinacate Middle School. I taught math for my first nine years, but now I guide students through amazing opportunities to learn and be creative in the world of computer science.
I teach Computer Science Discoveries A and B. Students who take both of these classes explore a vast range of computer concepts and develop solid skills in coding with Python, website development with HTML and CSS, app development, fine art digital photography, music creation with Sonic Pi, physical computing, 3D design and printing, and so much more! Moreover, students who emerge from middle school with all of this learning are excellent candidates to take AP Computer Science Principles in high school and earn college credit!
I have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Brandman University. This will be my 4th year serving as the Electives Department Chairperson at Pinacate.
With my spare time, I enjoy being adventurous outside - hiking, riding my bike, and photography at many of the local gardens that surround the inland empire.
Thanks for dropping by - please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
