Marvin Opiyo holds a doctoral degree in education from La Sierra University, Riverside, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Literature and English from Kenyatta University, Nairobi, and is the author of the recently published nonfiction, "Stuck Here" (https://www.amazon.com/Stuck-Here-African-Immigrants-Stories/dp/1634986695). He's been teaching Advanced and Regular English at Heritage High School for the past ten years. Dr. Opiyo cares about his students and they love him. This year he is teaching English 1 and English 2. Lessons will be delivered primarily in person in W101 and assignments will be posted in Google Classroom.
