Enrollment is now open for the 2013-14 school year! The demand for spaces so far has been exceeding expectations and we anticipate starting the next school year with full enrollment and a waiting list. If you know of a family with an interest in attending CMI next year, pass the word not to delay.
Congratulations to both Battalions for their outstanding performance on the Cadet Corps’ Annual General Inspection. The 320th Battalion, our middle school unit, earned the rating of Excellent—a rating that is earned by less than 20% of CACC units state-wide. The 319th Battalion, the high school unit, received a Superior rating—one of only three such ratings awarded in the AGI process this year! These outstanding results are due to the hard work of all the cadets from the cadet leadership down to the newest cadet recruit in the unit and they deserve the recognition. In addition to our great group of cadets, every staff member worked to make the Annual General Inspection a success. A special salute goes to MAJ Pearson, 2LT Tay and Mr. Dirkswager for their extra dedication to duty and long hours they put in to make sure our cadets excelled.
Our new Science and Music classroom building is coming along nicely and it seems likely that we will be ready to open those classrooms at the start of next school year. These classrooms will provide us with sorely needed modern lab classrooms and properly constructed acoustics for the music program. We are anxious to invite the entire CMI community to visit these classrooms.
