Board of Trustees Election

On May 16, 2012, the Board of Trustees will approve Resolution 36:11-12 – calling for a consolidated election. The purpose of the election is to elect three (3) members of the Perris Union High School District's Governing Board for a full term ending December 8, 2016, to offices now being held by the following members:

Joan D. Cooley
Eric J. Kroencke
Randy J. Williams

Beginning in the 2012 election cycle the District is divided into 5 Trustee Areas. The areas that will be open for candidacy are Area 2, Area 3, and Area 4. In addition, an Election Calendar for the governing board member election of November 6, 2012 has been prepared by the Riverside County Registrar of Voters.  Selected dates from the calendar are below:

Deadline for County Superintendent to notify governing boards, in writing, regarding the compulsory consolidation of school district elections.
July 6, 2012*
(123 days prior to election)
Last date for district governing boards to submit the Order of Election Resolution with Specifications concurrently to:
• County Superintendent of Schools
• Registrar of Voters
July 16, 2012
(113 days prior to election)
Earliest date for filing Declaration of Candidacy for governing board member.
August 10, 2012
(88 days prior to election)
Final date for filing Declaration of Candidacy for governing board member.
November 6, 2012 – Election Day
December 7, 2012
(1st Friday in December following the election)
Beginning of term of office for newly elected board members.  Oath of office must be executed prior to taking office.
