Hello ! Welcome to HHS Track and Field Website At League Finals we had a ton of success. These 12 athletes will be going on to CIF Prelims at Trabuco Hills HS in Mission Viejo on 5/11. Here are your HHS League Champions from the 2013 Season Diamonique Brogan, 100M Diamonique brogan, 200M Girls 4x1 (Nevarez, Brogan, Reynolds, Tate) Torrey Atkins, 110H Matt Kirkendall, 300IH Boys 4x4, (Carter, Woods, Atkins, Kirkendall) Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Track teams for their Co-League Championships. Last Wednesday both teams beat Elsinore to capture a part of first place in the Sunbelt League. Mt. SAC, Say it again, Mt. SAC!!! What an exciting day at Mt. SAC. Heritage had three athletes compete at Mt. SAC on Saturday 4/20. Aaron Woods, Matt Kirkendall and the school record breaking Torrey Atkins. Torrey ran a 14.44 in the 110 hurdles to break his own school record. In addition to the great performances by our athletes everyone got to meet Olympians! In these pictures you will see, Allyson Felix, Dawn Harper, Ashton Eaton, and Bryshon Nellum, n the Boys.     Both Girls and Boys won their track meet against Lakeside High School. The scores were; Girls 109 - 18, and the Boys 85 - 42. Great Job Patriots!!! More than 20 Heritage athletes participated in the Inland Empire Championships on April 13. We had our first IE Champs from Heritage High School. Axel Uveakovi in the frosh/soph Shot Put and Torrey Atkins in the Varsity 110 High Hurdles. Great Job Guys! Here is a picture of Axel after winning.  ***Heritage Boys and Girls teams both lost to Paloma on 4/10. It was a classic battle between district rivals and hats off to Paloma for competing so vigorously!!! Boys - 61.5 to 65.5, Girls - 61 - 66. But, don't be mistaken, it was a great track meet for Heritage High School Athletes!!! Between the the two teams we had over 10 Personal Best marks. And even more importantly there were 7 school records set at the Paloma vs. Heritage track meet. (school records are on the left) They are: D. Brogan 100 - 12.26, 200 - 26.27, A. Castellanos 3200 - 10:07.01, T. Atkins 110 HH -14.46, G 4x1 - 48.97, B 4x1 - 43.88, B 4x4 - 3:26.73. Heritage had several athletes competing at Arcadia last weekend for the first time ever! The girls 4x1 set a school record of 49.96. The shuttle hurdle team set a school record and second place with a time of 1:03.36. Torrey Atkins broke his own school record with a time of 14.57 and a third place finish!    Allyson Felix was a special guest at Arcadia that weekend!Both Boys and Girls Track Teams won on 4/3 against Temescal Canyon. The Girls won 100 to 27 and the boys won 99 to 28. The next meet will be against Paloma at Paloma. Some of our athletes went to Mt. Carmel this past weekend!    Both Boys and Girls Track Teams won their first League Meet. The Girls team beat Perris 90 to 37 and the Boys won 88 to 39!!! 2013 Track & Field Season       |
