Welcome to the Counseling Center page for Perris Lake High School!

The Perris Lake High School Counseling Department strives to implement a comprehensive guidance and counseling program that fosters the academic, career, and social/psychological development of all students.

In today’s job market, the High School Diploma is more highly regarded than ever before.  The diplomas we hand out to the very deserving students each year in June and September are a symbol for choices.  Young adults that possess their High School Diploma have the ability to choose their future, rather than being limited to unskilled-labor positions.  It is my goal as their counselor to assist all students with realizing their dreams and setting goals to achieve them.

A Southern California native, I earned my Bachelors degree in Psychology from San Diego Christian College in El Cajon, CA, and a Masters degree in Counseling and Counseling Credential from Azusa Pacific University through their San Diego and Murrieta campuses.  I am currently working on another Masters degree and credential in Educational Administration through California State University, San Bernardino. Knowing the power of education, it is my sincerest hope that all of our students will continue their education after they graduate from Perris Lake High School.

Currently, I not only provide all individual counseling services for our population, but also oversee the BETA Group Counseling Program as related to drug rehabilitation, anger management, and goal setting.

My office is located in the middle of the campus in room 107.  Students  have easy access to me before school, lunch time, and after school.  I am also available through email at Kathleen.Reid@puhsd.org or by appointment by calling 951-657-7357.

Soaring to New Heights Everyday,
