Whitney Houston: What will her legacy be?

Whitney Huston lived her life as a beautiful, strong R&Bsinger. With her outstanding live performances and long high notes, it’s hardto sing like her, period! Whitney always took control of the stage and peoplefrom all over the world loved her. Her personality is what makes her known asthe strong and talented Whitney Huston. She was truly an entertaining womanwith a lot of spark to her. Since her death,Feb. 11, she still pops up on TV every now and then. Even with her alleged druguse, her music is what makes her stands out.

Millions of little girls all over the world thatwish to be a true singer, their inspiration is Whitney Huston. They may notknow what else she does or even know what she looks like but they surely knowher voice carries them. Whitney’s gorgeous smile and inspiring lyrics gavewomen the hope to be strong, find love and never give up because that isexactly what she stood for.

Of course Whitney made it many times to the top ofthe charts. She was the first person to reach number 1 on the BillboardHot 100 with seven consecutive singles.  Weknow them: The Greatest Love of All, I’m Every Woman, I Wanna DanceWith Somebody and my personal favorite, Heartbreak Hotel.

Many stars that had the chance to work with Whitney were indisbelief and sad to hear of her passing.  “I am heartbroken and in tears over the shocking death of my friend, the incomparableMs. Whitney Houston. My heartfelt condolences to Whitney’s family and to allher millions of fans throughout the world. She will never be forgotten as oneof the greatest voices to ever grace the earth,” Mariah Carey said. 

Her legacy will live on only for her voice andamazing performances. The cause of her death was released recently and sadlydrugs were to blame. As sad as it still is, dead at 48, Houston leaves behindan 18 year-old daughter and lots of family and friends.

They should forever celebrate her art and honorher.
