The PHS Sports Challenge is a great tradition that is entering it's third year. Our special education students have a great time and our general education athletes learn some valuable lessons about acceptance and service in a day that really shows what Perris High School is all about in the ultimate display of inclusion. The Sports Challenge Athletes participate in Home-Run Derby, Football Throw, Soccer Penalty Kicks, Kick-Ball, Basketball, Relay-Races and an Obstacle course with their mentors of varsity athletes representing all of our sports at Perris H.S. The friendships that are made with the varsity and Panther Sports Challenge Athletes start 2 weeks before the event as they begin practicing together in P.E. to get ready for the event and are on display during the Sports Challenge when everyone is watching, but will last a lifetime as this event means so much and is so valuable to everyone involved.
We look forward to seeing everyone out on March 16th to be part of this great event which is growing each year. Please contact Perris High School Athletic Director Chris Brickley if you would like to become part of the Sports Challenge.
