Welcome to the Special Education Department 

We understand that every person is unique; each student comes to us with their own level of ability, and will show their academic progress at various rates. For that reason, we in the PHS Special Education Department, make it our goal to accommodate our students' needs. We do this in part by analyzing learning-style preferences, pacing requirements, and level of student motivation. The result is a team who utilizes group work, tutoring, pull-out sessions, collaboration, sensory-learning, and differentiated instruction, all in an effort to help every student experience their highest level of success.
